This ceramic pottery jar was handmade on the pottery wheel using a durable white stoneware clay and decorated with layers of brown glazes with a white interior.

This casserole dish measures 7 1/2 inches tall and 6 inches in diameter and will hold more than 12 cups of your favourite recipe. Other uses for this covered dish are bean pot, casserole, cookie jar, or cannister.

* for oven use, always place stoneware in a cold oven and allow the dish to warm as the oven preheats

* I only use lead free glaze for all of my functional work

As with all stoneware pottery, avoid thermal shock caused by sudden temperature changes during heating and cooling.

-Microwave safe

-Dishwasher safe

-Oven safe

This cool lidded jar was created and fired in our home studio

in Madoc, Ontario by Jeff Stevens of Stevens Pottery.
